Welcome to Captain Williamson Memorial Government College

The Captain Williamson Memorial Government College is situated in the downtown of Baghmara, headquarter of the South Garo Hills District and the only town of the district. South Garo Hills lies in the southern part of the Meghalaya, and was created on 18th June, 1992. The town is bounded by hilly with difficult terrain with the eternal flowing of mighty Simsang River and Rompa River, a tributary of Simsang River where herons and trout dwells. Fishes both Simsang and Rompa rivers are tasty and delicious.
