Rules and Regulations
- Minimum 75 % attendance is required of the total number of classes taken in an academic year. Student failing to fulfil the requisite norms they shall not be permitted to sit in the Annual Board Promotion or Selection Test / the University Examination.
- There will be monthly tests for each subject for all classes and the department concerned will arrange the test according to their convenience.
- Attendance and marks secured in the monthly test shall be considered for Promotion /Selection Test Examination.
- Students are required to communicate amongst themselves and with teachers in English within the college campus.
- Alcoholic drinks, cigarettes, tobacco etc. are strictly prohibited inside the college campus.
- Each student must acquire the college Identity Card immediately after admission. Any loss or damage must report to the college authority/the nearest Police station.
Conduct and Behaviour:
The College is an institution meant for higher learning and the objectives is not only to impart education but also to build up the students and transform them into better human beings. The students are therefore, expected to observe proper discipline in their conduct during the entire period they spend in the college. Failure to observe norms of discipline will invite appropriate consequences.
Ragging:
Students should abide by the rules, conduct and discipline inside the college and in public places. “Ragging is strictly prohibited”. An act of violation of good conduct and behaviour will lead to expulsion of the students from the students.
Sports, Cultural and other activities:
Students are expected to participate in sports, cultural and other activities organized by the college during the course of studies.
Penalty for damage and loss of college property:
The College reserve the right to collect fines either individually or collectively for damages or loss of college property by the students. Hence, students are advised to refrain from damaging college property and other objectionable practices.
General Rules and Regulations of the Hostels (Boys & Girls):
- Student desires to stay in the Hostel will have to apply duly in the prescribed application form provided by the College office and submit the same to the Hostel Superintendent within the stipulated date.
- Allotment of room will make on the basis of academic merits of the students
- 3(Three) students will stay in one room
- Mess fees must be deposit in the Office the Principal within 10th of every month in full.
- Hostellers are to make their own arrangement of bedding, plates and glasses, mosquito net etc.
- Hostellers will be responsible for safe custody of their belongings.
- Mess fee will be revised once in 3 (three) years.
- Hosteller is not allowed to bring any outsider inside the Hostel.
- Playing loud music is prohibited.
- Using of heaters and cooking inside/outside the room is strictly prohibited.
- Joining in the Hostel mess is compulsory.
- Hosteller should remain in the Hostel latest by 7:00 P.M.
- Drinking of alcohol or any other intoxicant in the Hostel or in the Institute campus is strictly prohibited.
- Gambling in the Hostel and Institute campus is strictly prohibited.
- Quarrelling/fighting/shouting or disturbing others are prohibited.
- Hosteller is to take permission for going home during holidays or any other time whenever he/she needs to do so.
- Hosteller is not allowed to leave/vacate the Hostel without prior information to the Hostel Superintendent.
- Hosteller should ensure that the light is switched off before they leave the room.
- Breaking of the furniture or any other items/tampering or damaging of existing electrical wiring system that belongs to the Hostel is punishable and a fine will imposed if anyone found violating the same.
- Rooms, toilets, bathrooms and the corridors of the Hostel should be kept clean by the Hostellers.
- Resorting to strike, ragging etc is an offence and punishable.
- The Hostellers are to vacate hostel during Vacation/End term holiday.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited.
- Switch off the light during day time.
- Close the water tap when not in use.
- Hostellers should remain present in the respective rooms from 9:30 pm till 6:00 am
- Roll call at 9:00 pm daily.
